Starter for 10 “Agility”

I have been reading recently about “Agile” programming and programming methodologies and methods generally. ¬†One of the things that first occurred to me is that they aren’t programming methods or methodologies at all, they are creative team management methods.

The specifics of how one goes about creating software using programming are not covered by them at all. ¬†Agile for instance has a manifesto which covers ideas such as make quick releases, get stuff in front of customers/clients asap, respond to change requests etc…

This is all good stuff but it could be applied to pretty well any creative endeavour that doesn’t involve a large overhead in manufacturing.
